Last Sunday I gave myself time to contemplate on how my life has been for the past few days. I was given the chance to experience what I've always wanted. . . work-life balance. Working on a day shift for a week made me appreciate every part of my day from sunrise to midnight. I had all the time in the world to spend with my family at home, for me-time and rest. Have I mentioned that my dad is finally home already after 7 long months? It's only been two weeks since he arrived yet it feels as if he never left. I can't believe it's been 7 months since he left. It seems like he has missed out on a lot of things but thank God for emails and text messages! Now he's home, and I keep praying everyday that it's for good. There's always a rainbow after the rain. You don't have to see it to believe it. July 1 happens to be on a Monday, the start of the week for me. The second half of the year also starts today! It feels like Tuesday, but it's actually just the 'real' first day of work week. Last night was too toxic for me - the weather, the environment, the working time, my physical state - and these things mixed all together, voila! Arrived a little early for work today. It was just in time for the upcoming meeting which I haven't prepared for yesterday. Afternoon-rush, is just the perfect term. With my iced coffee and bread with peanut butter and cheese, I was able to extract my best inputs and creative juices to come up with a sensible presentation. Voila! All ready. Day 27 : Busy Bee-utiful
I'm loaded with documents I have to finish, and sadly I am also still frustrated about my tooth. All the stress is grinding my nerves! I feel like I will explode any minute now. . . I don't feel beautiful today. I feel bad about myself for many reasons! I gained 4-8 lbs in the last two months of pigging out in the pantry during break time; I have three pimples popping out at the most random parts of my face perhaps because of the temporary shampoo I used; oh and the best part? Day 22 : Homesick, Really Sick
It's been more than two months since I've been going to work on a mid-shift. Honestly, it's very exhausting and emotionally challenging. I know it's a comfortable shift for those who sleep late and would want to wake up without the pressure of the alarm clock, but the travel time to and from Technohub drains my energy. Attending an early morning mass is always a great way to start the day, and is a perfect weekender. I was at peace knowing that God is glorified through the Eucharist. Oh, it's a Monday! Must make today a productive and joyful one, so I could take it with me throughout the whole week! Here are a few things about my day that I think is a great way to start the week happy. 1. A New Work Space Your working environment really changes your mood, and how you feel about work. Day 9 : Feverish Friday
I woke up today in heat. I could barely move my body, and my eyes are sore. My head is like a beating drum, and I feel like I'm on fire. I hate the sick feeling... My simple moment of bliss though was getting a taste of red velvet cupcake from Moonleaf. I just had one, but it was plain awesome! After my momentous meal, I was back to being sick.
