Vulnerable

We become vulnerable after pain. Instead of building a wall, instead of shielding ourselves, we stand out in the open - our souls naked.

We reveal our soul to people we think could make a difference in our lives. We freely trust those who have seen the pain we went through believing that we have found the safest place to be.

When we stand out in the open, there those who know we are vulnerable yet still choose to come closer... closer, to get a glimpse of our heart.

And if we let them, we become like fragile glass - easy to drop, easy to break, easy to throw away and replace - and it takes a lot, to trust and believe that they won't.
