Love Notes #06 : Daydream

Breakfast. 10.06.

I am thrilled by the thought,
and desire most ardently,
to get a glimpse of your face,
to see you right in front of me

How you'd curve your lips to smile,
how you sound like when you laugh,
how you would look deeply at me,
with eyes of love, drawing me closer

Marvel at how you breathe -
oh but, would you even breathe?
the same air I take in, when you are
perfect, and not of even this world?

Will I faint in awe, will I smile in tears?
Will I lose myself in you, will I still breathe?
Will I be able to handle such beauty,
such radiance and wonders?

Will I bow to honor you,
will I kneel before you?
Will lift my hands to give praise,
will I sing for joy?

Will my heart dance?
Will you take me for a dance?
Will I melt inside?
Will you consume me, all of me?

My heart leaps for joy,
for a simple yet amazing thought;
You are my joy, my strength
my song, and my salvation

You move me to write,
you move me to sing,
you move me to wonder,
you move me to daydream

Hey, I'd love to know your thoughts :)

The Wonder Human

To be human has its complexities and frailties. It almost feels natural to succumb to life's struggles and disarray, that we tend to forget how God has made us to be filled with wonder. . . and this blog aims to create vivid reminders of what we should never lose, what we should continually celebrate, what we should seek, in every musing, experience, milestone, chapter, and blessing. More about me HERE

Psalms 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Job 5:9 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

Psalm 71:17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
