Day 28 : While I'm Waiting

I have a lot of things in mind for the coming weeks - buying my ipad mini at last, upgrading my plan to have the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini (I do hope it gets released by then) for free or the SIII Mini for the mean time, moving to another project in Ortigas, getting to have my extra allowance for mid-shift, having my tooth fixed, papa coming home, getting to have enough money for my driving lessons and opening a COL account, having enough money to spend for my 21st birthday, losing 10-15lbs so super short hair won't look ridiculous on me, buying an Xperia LTE phone so I could give the sIII Mini to my sister, AND the list goes on. . .

Looking at the date, it seems as if time's running too slow. Ahh, can't I just have a remote control and press Fast Forward - skipping the long wait? That would be nice, but it wouldn't be that great either.

Fully bloomed roses start out as an ugly closed bud, grows slightly bigger as thorns grow, and finally opens its petals for the world to see. . . but the thorns will have to be cut out first before the rose becomes part of a beautiful bouquet.

Waiting is the part where you get too conscious of the time; the part where you experience the pain of not having what you want at that very moment; the part where you strive convincing yourself to hold on to your faith that you will have what you want in God's time; the part where you grow tired but still push yourself a little more through reminding yourself of the reasons why you want what you want.

God's Delays are Never Denials

This phase of my life needs a good song to make it more dramatic and powerful at the same time. Here's John Waller's lyrics of his song "While I'm Waiting"

I'm waiting

I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Takeing every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait

I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait

I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting

The Wonder Human

To be human has its complexities and frailties. It almost feels natural to succumb to life's struggles and disarray, that we tend to forget how God has made us to be filled with wonder. . . and this blog aims to create vivid reminders of what we should never lose, what we should continually celebrate, what we should seek, in every musing, experience, milestone, chapter, and blessing. More about me HERE

Psalms 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Job 5:9 He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.

Psalm 71:17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
