Can't go back to the beginning. . .
Can't control what tomorrow may bring
But I know here in the middle
is a place where you promise to be -
//"Here Again", Elevation Worship
They say that the first step is always the hardest. But to me, it's the middle. Because once we make the first step, it's easy to be fueled by how far we've gone. What happens in between, then? When we're not really lost, but just in the middle of it all? After all, "Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path." - Psalms 119:105 .
I'm not where I used to be, but I'm not yet where I'm supposed to be. I'm not sinking or drowning anymore, but I've been walking in the same soiled and wet clothes that still cause me shiver. I'm no longer in the dark, but I still have to survive the small hours of dawn in the woods.
All I know is I have to keep going...step by step, moment by moment. In full trust and surrender.
